For a variety of clients we regularly carry out large transport projects, which do not concern a single load, but often tens to hundreds of loads of all kinds of measurements. Our expertise is mainly in the field of heavy, as well as special transport. However, where it concerns for example a prefab concrete construction, the load is not limited to exceptional objects. In such cases, clients do require a single logistical point of contact. STE Nieuwleusen (previously known as Schouten Transport) can facilitate this because we are equipped to handle the entire transport issue. This includes loads with regular dimensions and we will ensure that these too will arrive at their destination just in time. We are very well aware that just-in-time in these kinds of projects is of essential importance, because there is almost always an assembly team on standby involved, as well as an expensive crane. Apart from effectively handling your logistical projects, our assembly and lifting services also enable us to offer you a turnkey solution.
Together with our satisfied clients we are able to look back upon a wide variety of successful logistical projects, particularly in the field of prefab concrete. We are pleased to present a number of the more recently completed projects below.
Shuttle service with different trucks and unloading slots that were timed precisely, so that the assembly team and telescopic crane would have no down-time. All loads involved an unusual width.
Loads of various kinds, including regular loads for curtain-sider trailers and flat open trailers. But it also included several concrete parts with unusual widths, heights, and weights.
Several projects consisting of 10 to 30 loads of concrete wells and cover plates. Again, everything was delivered Just In Time and often it was all disassembled within a single day at the construction site!
Six boilers for the food industry transported from the Veluwe to Rotterdam. Of which 3 had a diameter of 3 metres, two boilers with a diameter of 5 metres, and one had a diameter of no less than 7 metres!
Recently STE took on the entire logistical operation of moving 6 boilers for the food industry. It was an extraordinary project involving two boilers with a diameter of 5 metres and one with a diameter of no less than 7 metres. The project involved road transport as well as inland waterway transport. We were able to offer our client a turnkey solution for this complicated transport issue. From factory to assembly at the end client’s site, we managed the entire logistical process for our client. Our ‘assembly and lifting services’ were put to good use once again. It was a complicated process because the transport of the 7 metre boiler from Elspeet all the way to the inland vessel in Harderwijk took no less than 7 hours! Here, the boilers measuring 7 and 5 metres were lifted onto the vessel by the crane that was commissioned by STE. Overnight, the vessel sailed on to Rotterdam, where as early as the following morning a crane and several trucks were ready to transport the boilers by road to their final destination.
A client recently requested us to move an entire holiday cottage from Apeldoorn to Wijster. The client preferred an all-in price for the complete disassembly in Apeldoorn, the transport, and the complete re-assembly in Wijster. We decided to take on the whole project. It was a magnificent job for our Assembly and Lifting Service in association with Ten Klooster.
A typical showcase of STE’s expertise. For one of our regular clients we recently managed
- the transport by road from Venlo to our site in Nieuwleusen;
- the storage and transhipment, including loading and unloading (vertical transport);
- the transport from Nieuwleusen to Lubeck-Travemunde;
- the transport overseas from Lubeck-Travemunde to Russia;
- the transport by road in Russia of heavy, wide, and tall steam boilers for agricultural and horticultural use in Russia.
